With a bit of sunshine on our backs, it’s time to tend to our gardens, paint the weather-damaged fences and maybe do a bit of extra work inside the house.
With our busy lifestyles it is often easy to neglect to look after ourselves properly. Poor posture and a weak spine can often lead to discomfort and pain in your lower back or neck and stress can interfere with your natural state of wellbeing and happiness.
Our health is what we make of it – give it attention and it improves, give it none and it subsides.” ― John F. Demartini
Tips To Help You With Your Daily Routine!
- Stretch before exercise to warm up. Cold muscles are much more likely to get injured and if you lead a sedentary life, this is especially important.
- Dehydration will make your body more susceptible to injury so increase your water intake as the weather gets warmer. Caffeine, alcohol and sugary drinks will also dehydrate you.
- Increase your vitamin D levels by exposing your skin to 20 min of sun before applying sunscreen. To find out why vitamin D is so important to us all, visit our Facebook page or pick up one of our leaflets in the clinic.
- Be aware of your posture whether you are sitting at your computer, using your mobile phone or taking part in your activities. Check with your Chiropractor which postural exercises would be best for you.
