Stay Healthy for the Christmas Holidays

Although we may approach the Christmas celebrations this month with the best of intentions I think we can all agree how easy it is to stray away from our usual health and fitness regimes.

The stressful shopping, sugary foods and sometimes-strained family dynamics can prove quite the challenge for even the most committed of us. Our team at Chislehurst Chiropractic want to share with you some simple tips to get you a healthy balance over Christmas time.

  1. Eat Consciously – working alongside team members in the office can lead to the odd stealing of each others chocolate or sweets this time of year and we are just the same at CCC! However it is very important to pay attention to what you are eating and how you are feeling to make sure that you eat the right amount instead of too much!
  2. Get Enough Rest – as Christmas is a stressful time it is easy to slip into the habit of late nights and early wake-ups in order to get everything done. If you trade off some sleep at night then make sure you plan to catch up with a short nap to let your body go back to normal.
  3. Do Something to Reduce Stress – this is a perfect time of year to take up some useful relaxation tips, perhaps joining a yoga group or meditation. A perfect way to reduce stress is to have your regular Chiropractic adjustment and join one of our monthly meditation classes – give us a ring to get you booked in on our January class.
